Chatsworth father shot in food delivery ambush

THE family of a Chatsworth man who was shot and killed while delivering food in Crossmoor last Wednesday evening, have called on police to hunt down his killers and bring them to book.

Jayseelan Jayce Naicker, 45, a father of three of Montford, was shot twice and died 15 minutes later at the gate of the home he was delivering food to.

Naicker had jumped off his vehicle at the home where the food was to be delivered, and called out for the homeowners.

During this time, two men on foot approached him. One was armed with a gun and shot at Naicker. They fled with his cellphone only.

His brother-in-law, Kogilan Pillay, said Naicker was a private transporter.

At around 7pm, he was delivering a meal from Swaadisht in Croftdene to a family in Crossmoor, when he was accosted by two men.
