National training coordinator for Autism South Africa (Asa), and local resident Leryke Kleynhans who is autistic, hosts annual educational autism workshops nationally, which are part of a broader national initiative
hosted under different themes.
With a professional background in occupational therapy and a personal journey as an autistic adult diagnosed later in life, Kleynhans says she brings a unique perspective to the topic of autism, the most recent one she hosted at the APD hall, alongside other Asa representatives.
