Premier announces new appointments in 2 Dept

The Premier, Dr Phophi Ramathuba has announced the permanent appointment of two heads of departments, each on fiveyear contracts that will include performance review mechanisms to ensure improved departmental operations.

Speaking at a media briefing in Polokwane on Friday, Ramathuba confirmed that after a rigorous recruitment process, Dr Ntondeni Ndwamato, who had acted in the position for several years, is now the head of the Department of Health, while Veronica Mokgonyana has been appointed to Sport, Arts and Culture.

Previously, similar operational management positions were filled in the departments of Social Development, Agriculture and Rural Development, Education, and Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure. Ramathuba said the appointments now complete a fully equipped team capable of fulfilling the provincial government's mandates.
