New exhibition finds quiet at 'edge of world'

Strathearn Gallery has announced a major solo exhibition of new work by Ron Lawson, one of Scotland’s — and Perthshire’s - most iconic and collectable contemporary artists.

Titled The Quiet Beyond, the exhibition marks Ron's first solo show in two years and his only exhibition in 2025 — offering collectors and admirers a rare opportunity to experience an entirely new body of work from this celebrated painter, whose art has captivated audiences across the world.

Widely regarded as one of the UK's leading landscape artists, Ron Lawson has spent more than four decades refining his distinctive visual language.

This is Ron's first exhibition in two years, following an unexpected pause in his career after his son suffered a serious mountain biking accident last year.

Ron and his wife took time away from painting to care for him during his recovery, making this new body of work particularly meaningful.
