These events provide an excellent opportunity to learn more about how our plans have changed
A former police chief inspector has been warmly welcomed into his new role as independent chair of both the Perth and Kinross Adult Protection Committee and the Child Protection Committee.
Former area commander for Perth and Kinross Graham Binnie will also take a strategic role in shaping Perth and Kinross Council's approach to public protection.
Mr Binnie took on his new roles last year but was officially welcomed at a meeting of Perth and Kinross Council on Wednesday, January 14 during presentations of the annual 2024/25 reports for both committees.
He was appointed following the retirement of the committees' previous chair, Bill Atkinson, last summer.
Chief social work officer Arun Singh thanked Mr Atkinson for his “ambition to raise the profile of adult protection”.
