According to the City, 89 689 children were registered during the same period last year.
And a total of 227 children were lost and reunited with their families, while five were handed over to the Department of Social Development (DSD) in the province as their caregivers were not located by the end of the beach day. This is significantly lower compared to last year when 256 reunions were made and 11 handovers to DSD.
