Heated words at the half-time break give Burgh boost needed to overturn 3-1 deficit

An inspired halftime team talk saw Johnstone Burgh come from behind against Camelon Juniors and progress in the South Challenge Cup.

Substitute Stuart Faulds netted an injury-time winner in a seven-goal thriller as Burgh came from 3-1 down to reach the fourth round on Saturday.

Coach Greig Mitchell described a passionate conversation between everyone in the dressing room at the interval with only 45 minutes left to try and stay in the cup.

The East of Scotland League visitors pitched up at Keanie Park and stormed into a two-goal lead after just half-an-hour thanks to Zander Miller and Jordan Kirkpatrick.

Kyle Lafferty, who has been on a terrific goalscoring run of late, got one back for the home side before the Mariners restored their two-goal cushion before the break though Liam McQuaid.
