Rutkiewicz targeting top spot for Arthurlie

Arthurlie boss Kevin Rutkiewicz is hoping it's a happy homecoming for him as his team aim to go top of the West of Scotland League First Division tonight.

The Barrhead outfit head into the game just a point off leaders Renfrew thanks to a resounding 3-0 home win over fellow promotion hopefuls Kilwinning Rangers on Monday night.

Michael MacNeil bagged a pair of first-half penalties, with a Mark Taylor header sandwiched in between, as the Dunterlie side ran out comfortable winners and leapt above the Buffs into second place. It was the perfect way to build on Saturday's 1-0 triumph at Irvine Meadow thanks to a strike from Tam McGaughey.

The games come thick and fast for 'Lie as they visit James McGrory Park this evening knowing a point would see them climb to the summit and strengthen their title hopes.
