Recess is a chance to see constituents

It is regrettable that, after the horror of two world wars, there remain regimes intent on destabilising the world, imposing influence on their neighbours and are unafraid to use military force to accomplish their goals.

I am proud that the UK Government is alert to the dangers that an unchecked Russia and China pose both in terms of direct military threat and their covertactions to undermine western democracies.

The government's commitment to increased spending on defence will bolster our armed forces and provide them with the means to ensure our security.

This will have benefits locally at Faslane and Coulport which employs people from my constituency and the supply chains for those bases.
