Post office set to close

Elderslie is set to lose its post office in a matter of weeks as chiefs seek to secure a new postmaster for the village.
The Post Office confirmed its services, situated within Keystore Express on Main Road, will close on Tuesday, August 5, following the resignation of the postmaster.
The organisation says it is working to fill the position as a matter of urgency.
In a letter shared with the community, the Post Office said: “We would like to assure you that we are working hard to keep any period of closure to a minimum and we are currently investigating the options available which will enable us to reinstate a Post Office service to the local community.
“In exploring this, it is important that any future service is sustainable for the person operating the service, and for Post Office Limited.
