The co-leader of the Scottish Greens has demanded "bold policies" over bringing buses back into public ownership.

West Scotland MSP Ross Greer wants passengers put first, and an end to the monopolising of the service.

Scottish Greens used debate time at the Scottish Parliament to call for the expansion of free bus travel to more people across Scotland as part of budget negotiations.

And he insists the move has been proven to help young people travel more eco-friendly - with eight million journeys enjoyed by those aged under 22 in Renfrewshire alone.
