MSP backs school sport plans

Renfrewshire MSP Tom Arthur has backed proposals in the recent Scottish Budget to produce a range of programmes for a 'summer of sport' for schoolchildren across the region.

This summer, thousands of young Scots are set to access a range of free sport activities in a range of primary schools between 3pm and 6pmfreeing up time for hardworking families and promoting healthy living.

The budget also expands access to free swimming lessons to every single primary school child in Scotland.
