Women's football trailblazer gives the Gleniffer High pupils a motivational talk
A trailblazer in women's football has inspired the next generation of stars to be determined on and off the sports field.
Rose Reilly MBE, who paved the way for women's football in Scotland, made a visit to Gleniffer High School earlier this month as part of Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week.
Rose who famously cut her hair and called herself Ross as in bid to play in the male-dominated sport in the 60s-was the first female Scot to play international football.
The football Hall of Fame alumni told her captive audience to follow her example and break down any barriers they face to achieving their dreams.
Rose, who hails from Ayrshire, moved abroad in her quest to become a professional footballer in 1974 and went on to win a host of trophies within both France and Italy, having played for clubs including AC Milan, ACF Alaska Lecce, Catania and Napoli.
