I worked 18-hour days for my film dream... now it's all coming true

Anton O'Donnell, from Paisley, had no film making experience and a budget of just £5,000 when he decided to try and bring his story to life.

Now, seven years after he started filming, the 39-year-old has watched his 45-minute gangland drama Concrete Jungle become one of the most watched shows in the UK.

And with fans begging for more, Anton hopes he can now get commissioned to make the remaining episodes he has waiting to be filmed.

He said: "This has been my dream for the last 10 years but I've been working other jobs and just doing this as a side hustle.

"For all those years it felt like a fantasy and now it's finally starting to feel real.

"I started writing it 10 years ago and we started filming seven years ago. It's taken all that time to get it on a platform.

"I don't know whether it was optimism or delusion that kept me going - but if it wasn't for that I probably would have given up during this process. That's why I'm so proud to have seen it go to number one in the UK on STV Player - outperforming shows like Britain's Got Talent and American shows with huge budgets."
