Greed is driving up energy costs

Everybody deserves a warm home and food on their plates this winter.

Renewables Scotland generates almost enough green energy to meet all of its electricity needs

For thousands of people across Scotland, though, rising bills and costs mean those basic needs are impossible to meet.Someone is to blame for this but it certainly wasn’t asylum seekers who increased anyone’s energy bills - and trans people certainly aren’t behind the rise in food prices.

Those at fault are the super-rich. The multinational corporations, their bosses and shareholders.

Scotland generates enough electricity from renewables to meet pretty much all of our electricity needs.

This is cheap electricity but we don't see that reflected in our bills because the price is tied to energy coming from gas, which is far more expensive.
