Giving thanks to community

As we enjoy the festive period and the year draws to a close, it’s a good opportunity to reflect on the year that’s just gone before looking ahead to the new beginnings brought by the start of 2026.

I want to take this opportunity to appreciate some of the many fantastic community organisations I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with this year.

Kicking off the year, I met the brilliant team at the Renfrewshire Carers’ Centre, spending time with carers to hear their stories and listen to the issues that affect them at work.

What struck me was the breadth of support offered by the Carers’ Centre, showing how they are going above and beyond for those most in need of support.
