Public transport West Lothian Buses is seen as a good example of public ownership

Using the bus to get around has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember.

In fact, the vast majority of public transport journeys in Scotland are taken by bus.

But you wouldn’t know that from how little time we spend talking about bus services in our politics or in the national media.

Reliable, affordable bus services have a hugely positive impact on people's lives.

They can help us get to school, college or university, get a job, access important services like GPs and meet up with friends and family.

The Scottish Greens delivered free bus travel for everyone under the age of 22 a few years ago.
