Freckleton insists clean sheets are 'platform for success' as Saints prepare for gruelling fixture schedule
Miguel Freckleton is proud his Buddies have put up the shutters.
St Mirren recorded their third Premiership clean sheet in a row following a goalless draw with Kilmarnock on Saturday.
While frustrated not to make the breakthrough against a side on a shocking run of form, Saints never looked like conceding.
And Freckleton - who is enjoying life alongside Marcus Fraser and Richard King in boss Stephen Robinson's back three - insists a miserly approach is the platform for success.
"You look at the positive side of things which is we kept a clean sheet," the 22-year-old said after a challenging afternoon.
"We wanted the win but sometimes you can't get it and then it's about making sure you don't lose.
