Care worker warned after resident hurt

A care worker has been handed a warning after a resident at a Paisley home was injured while being lifted from their wheelchair.
Shinta Wildaningsih was assisting a staff nurse in lifting the person, known as AA, and who was deemed to require a hoist and sling to be moved.
Instead, this equipment was not used, with AA sustaining a grazed leg and skin tear as a result.
The incident happened “around January 1” last year while Wildaningsih was employed as a care assistant by H&H Care Homes at Westerfields Home in Paisley.
The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), the industry's regulatory body, issued a warning to be listed against Wildaningsih on the Register for Social Care Workers and Social Work Students.
The sanction will be applied for 12 months.
