Two MoUs inked for agri, digital farm services push

In a significant push to strengthen agricultural development and digital services for farmers, the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment (DAFE) Tuesday signed two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with partner organisations.
The pacts aim to boost value chain development for major crops and scale up digital agricultural advisory services across the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, who also holds the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy portfolios, said the new agreements would “help us reach the un-reached and ensure timely government assistance for farmers in need.”
Fisheries and Animal Resources Development and MSME Minister Gokulananda Mallik highlighted the impact of real-time livestock advisories, noting that they have enabled farmers and livestock rearers to address challenges more effectively.
