Textile parks across state
Orissa POST
|February 15, 2026
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Saturday announced that multiple textile parks will be established across Odisha, marking a significant step toward strengthening the state's industrial base and generating large-scale employment.
Odisha's push to build multiple textile parks across districts such as Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Cuttack, Ganjam and Jagatsinghpur signals a deliberate shift from resource-led growth to jobs-led industrialisation. The announcement made by CM Mohan Charan Majhi, anchored by a ₹ 100-crore textile park in Keonjhar and a technical textile park in Bhadrak, aims to bring employment closer to home for youth who currently migrate to other states. With MoUs worth ₹7,800 crore already signed, the state is betting on modern infrastructure and logistics to create steady, women-friendly manufacturing work and diversify local economies beyond mining.
