SII launches HPV-cancer awareness drive

The Serum Institute of India (SII) launched its nationwide public health campaign— Conquer HPV & Cancer Conclave 2025° here Wednesday, bringing together top medical experts to raise awareness about Human Papillomavirus (HPV) -related cancers.
India bears a heavy burden of HPVassociated diseases, especially cervical cancer, which ranks as the second most common cancer among women. According to ICO/IARC (2028), India records over 1.23 lakh new cervical cancer cases and 77,000 deaths annually. HPV is also linked to up to 90 per cent of anal cancers and 63 per cent of penile cancers.
