Following days of aggressive posturing and punitive diplomatic actions by India and Pakistan in the aftermath of April 22 Ραhalgam terror attack, Islamabad Saturday offered to join any 'neutral and transparent' probe into the carnage.

Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif said that his country is open to taking part in a 'credible' investigation. Sharif's statement came a day after Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, in an interview with New York Times, said that Pakistan was 'ready to cooperate' with 'any investigation which is conducted by international inspectors'. New Delhi is yet to respond to Sharif's offer, which is perceived as yet another ploy to internationalise the Kashmir issue.
