One-time settlement for pending e-challans

With an initiative, aims to provide traffic and road safety violators an opportunity to settle outstanding fines at reduced rates and encourage safer driving behaviour, State Commerce and Transport department has announced a ‘One-Time Settlement Scheme’ for pending e-challans as of July 31, 2025.

Road safety remains a key concern in Odisha and across India, with the number of motor vehicle law violations continuing to challenge authorities despite multiple enforcement measures. E-challans, including those generated through the Intelligent Enforcement Management System (IEMS), have been issued to address violations, but a significant number of pending challans remain unresolved.
