Odisha Yatri App to roll out ambulance services

In a major boost to emergency medical response in Odisha, the state government has announced that its flagship mobility platform, the Odisha Yatri App, will soon include ambulance services, both government and private, under its umbrella.

Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena made the announcement Tuesday, highlighting the state's push to digitise and streamline emergency healthcare transportation. “Following the successful integration of autorickshaw and taxi services, Odisha Yatri App will now offer citizens the ability to book ambulances online. The Commerce and Transport department will initiate the process shortly,” he said.

“This initiative marks a significant step in our commitment to an inclusive, citizen-centric transport and healthcare ecosystem,” said Minister Jena, reaffirming the government's focus on equitable, accessible public services.
