PROJECTS SET TO CREATE OVER 25,000 EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLS-WCA), headed by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Friday approved ₹4,739 crore worth 25 investment proposals which are expected to create 25,200 employment opportunities across several districts of Odisha.

‘The latest approvals cover as many as 13 key sectors, including textiles, steel, chemicals, IT, renewable energy, tourism, metal downstream, circular economy and capital goods. “The projects embody Odisha’s commitment to fostering sustainable industrialisation and economic growth across diverse regions,” Ahuja said after chairing the 140th meeting of the SLSWCA.

In IT/ITES, the SLSWCA approved the proposal of Linde India Limited to set up a global competency centre in Khurda for transport and remote operations. With an investment of ₹82 crore, the facility will create 210 jobs.

In infrastructure, Linde India Limited will invest ₹105.70 crore in Jajpur for a pipeline cluster catering to Tata Steel and other industries, generating 35 jobs.
