Modi reiterated New Delhi’s consistent support for a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict even as the two leaders ‘positively’ assessed initiatives to boost India-France ties
India and France share the same determination to achieve just and lasting peace in Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron said after a phone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Following the call, Modi reiterated New Delhi’s consistent support for a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict even as the two leaders “positively” assessed initiatives to boost India-France ties.
The strategic partnership between New Delhi and Paris will continue to play a key role in fostering global peace and stability, he said.
Macron was among the European leaders who joined Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his talks with US President Donald Trump in White House last month. Trump met Zelenskyy days after he held summit talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
