Govt, CanKids ink pact for paediatric cancer care

In a major move to enhance paediatric cancer care, the Health and Family Welfare department Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CanKids KidsCan, a leading cancer care organisation.
The MoU was inked at the Health Directorate office in presence of Public Health director Nilakantha Mishra and CanKids founder-chairman Poonam Bagai.
The MoU outlines a comprehensive framework for paediatric cancer care, focusing on early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and followup care. It also includes providing financial support and awareness programmes for children and families, with an emphasis on patient-centered research.
