Tensions escalated along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border Sunday, as Islamabad urged the Taliban to curb militant activities, alleging that attackers operate from safe havens in Afghanistan—a claim the Taliban swiftly denied. The clashes resulted in several dozens of casualties on both sides, even as Pakistan announced the closure of key crossings along the Durand Line, a disputed colonial era border. This development coincides with a rare visit to India by Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, culminating in India’s announcement to enhance diplomatic ties with the Taliban government
