Upset over decision to rename historic site

UPSET has emerged over the decision to re-name part of a historic building in Nuneaton town centre.

Transformation works have been ongoing to the former Conservative Club, which was home to the old St George's Hall.

Only a matter of weeks ago it was revealed that the works to the St George's Hall were complete and the venue, which dates back to the early 1900s and once was a popular venue, can now be put into use again.

But it comes with a new name - ‘George Müller Hall. Together for Change, the charity which has been championing the huge project at the Saints building on Newdegate Street.
