Youth outreach club '3 months from shutting'

Service that helps hundreds of young people in deprived areas of the city makes urgent plea after its funding is slashed

THE founder of a city youth outreach group says it could close within three months due to the scale of funding pulled from the project.

Ben Rosser, chief executive of the Pythian Club, who has worked to transform the lives of countless young people for more than a decade, has now issued a desperate plea for help.

After being hit with a 60 percent cut to their funding over the past three years, Mr Rosser said: "It's about the safety, well-being and future of our young people.
