89-YEAR-OLD VICTIM FOUND HIM IN HER BEDROOM AFTER BREAK-IN

- By MARTIN NAYLOR

Women were 'violated' by sex offender who spied on them in their own homes

A CONVICTED sex offender spied on a Nottingham woman while she was getting changed in her bedroom and entered the bathroom of a pensioner while she was taking a shower.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how Tyler Reilly’s face was illuminated by the light of his phone as it flashed while he watched his first victim.

The terrified woman called her husband who checked CCTV and spotted the 32-year-old had been in the back garden.

In another incident he also broke into the home of an 89-year-old woman who found him standing by her wardrobe.

Handing him a 14-year sentence, Judge Stuart Rafferty KC said: “It may well be you had a difficult childhood and your life has been one with a lack of fulfilment but none of this is an excuse.

“It is perfectly clear that, homeless as you were in West Bridgford, you were making it your business either to burgle, spy on people, or commit sexual offences. Only you will know what sexual gratification you got from committing them.

“One of your victims was 89 years old and you say you went back to see her and apologise. I do not accept that. You went back because you had seen that lady and you decided she was going to become another victim of your sexual proclivities.
