ROY Keane has shared memories of a fight with “a hockey team” that saw him sent home by manager Brian Clough.

The former midfield enforcer was always a tough tackler for Forest, Manchester United and Celtic, and his fiery temper is what he may be best remembered for.

His heated persona wasn't just limited to the football pitch; there were many instances when it spilt over into his personal life, too.

Now 53, Keane recounted some colourful episodes of his youth in conversation with ex-team-mate Mark Crossley.

During a chat about their eventful nights out when they were both playing under Clough, Keane recalled being embroiled in a hotel bar fracas while on a mid-season tour in Jersey.

A report from FourFourTwo previously detailed an incident in which Keane, then at a hotel bar, found himself at odds with a woman, who threw a glass of gin and tonic over him.
