What a way to start the day!

Nottingham's two Michelin Star Restaurant Sat Bains is now serving a £50 luxury breakfast - and you don't have to have stayed the night before. LYNETTE PINCHESS pushes the boat out and has a morning to savour
I NEVER want to eat Warburtons’ crumpets again.
That's what having breakfast at Nottingham's most acclaimed restaurant does for you. You're spoilt forever.
Once you've had the homemade version at two-Michelin starred Restaurant Sat Bains, the bestselling supermarket crumpets are never going to satisfy that craving for lashings of butter, soaking through the holes into the spongy centre.
Made from scratch in the kitchen just metres away from where we're sitting, these beauties are top-tier.
Factor in the honey from the restaurant’s bee hives, produce doesn’t get any more local than your own back garden.
And for me, mornings don’t get any better than this.
Up until now, breakfast at what is highly regarded as one of the UK’s best restaurants has been the preserve of overnight guests, who have stayed in one of the rooms (starting at £200 a night) after their Michelin-starred dinner.
But now anyone can book the £50-a-head brekkie — although I’m not sure the slang term is adequate to use when describing this most luxurious way to start the day.
At this point, you might be thinking how can breakfast cost that much? It’s less than a tenner at so-and-so, but come on, this is a world-class restaurant, so it’s not going to be serving sausages out of the freezer.
Will it consist of gold-leaf bacon and baked bean caviar with a sausage espuma?
As far as I know, Michelin inspectors don’t hand out stars for breakfasts, but you know standards are going to be up there.
For the record, breakfast at RSB costs six times more than the last Full English and coffee I had, sitting on a wooden picnic bench outside Redhill Marina Cafe (which was absolutely banging, I have to say), so my expectations are not just high, they are through the roof.
