Warning to stay away from fast-flowing river after boat goes under

A BOAT became submerged at Beeston Marina yesterday as Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service asked people to not approach the River Trent.

Emergency services were called to the incident which involved a damaged vessel close to Beeston Weir at around 4am yesterday.
An update shared at 5.31am read: "If for any reason you are at the Marina in the next few hours, please do not approach the water, avoid entering the water and keep well clear of riverbanks and towpaths."
