The 26-year-old has worked his way into the starting lineup for the Magpies as the left wing-back in Martin Paterson’s system, starting the last four league games, having predominantly featured off the bench to begin the campaign.

As someone who has moved around a lot in his career, playing for different clubs and managers in various formations and systems, he has learned to be adaptable as a player and adapt to where he is needed in the team.

Right now at Notts, that is at wing-back, which is a specialist position requiring strengths as both a defender and attacker.
