Stadium tour for Forest fans recovering from serious injuries

VIP VISIT HELPS MARK AND NATHAN WITH THEIR REHABILITATION

TWO patients recovering from serious injuries have been on a trip to the City Ground to help their rehabilitation.

Mark McMahon and Nathan Croft are lifelong fans and patients at Linden Lodge specialist neuro-logical rehabilitation unit at the City Hospital.

The unit helps people recover from life-changing illnesses and injuries to improve their quality of life as much as possible to support their return home or move into care.

Mark is recovering from a traumatic brain injury and Nathan is going through rehabilitation to strengthen his legs after surgery for a fractured femur.

They were invited for a private museum and stadium tour as part of their occupational therapy to help their recovery, travelling to the City Ground by public transport and negotiating their way around the stadium.

This allowed them to put the skills they have been learning in occupational therapy and physio-therapy sessions into practice in a safe environment, and to support skills they will need in everyday life.
