Reform accused of 'backroom conversations' on boundary options

PARTIES are split about “secretive” private meetings on a huge shake-up of Nottinghamshire's boundaries being held by the county council's Reform UK leadership.

The main Conservative opposition group at the council will not be attending the sessions, but the smaller Labour group of four councillors will be going and say it is their “duty” to do so.

The Conservatives maintain that any discussions about the biggest shakeup to Nottinghamshire's boundaries for 50 years should be done in public.

Reform’s county council leadership have announced this week that, in a bid to improve such public understanding of the issue, they will be hosting their own consultation on it.
