Reds make 'approach' for Reinildo as search for full-back steps up

NOTTINGHAM Forest are said to have approached free agent defender Reinildo about a potential move to the City Ground.

The 31-year-old's contract with Atletico Madrid runs out at the end of next month, following the Club World Cup. He has no shortage of clubs chasing his signature, and the Reds are reportedly among them.

Left-back is an area where Forest need to assess their options this summer as they reshape head coach Nuno Espirito Santo's squad.

Ensuring the Portuguese has sufficient strength in depth across the pitch is a key priority ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Reinildo, who can also play as a left midfielder, will be available on a free transfer from the end of July.
