Pub job losses confirmed as brewery ends lease despite record sales

DESPITE celebrating its best ever trading figures, the brewery running a Long Eaton pub is pulling out when the lease ends later this month.

Nottinghamshire's Lincoln Green took over the Mill & Brook just over two years ago but with constant challenges a director said the “path to profitability has proved just out of reach".

The pub is known for the brewery's real ales Tuck, Archer, Marion and, ironically, there's one on tap called the Bitter End. Five staff, including general manager Amy Ainsworth, will be made redundant when the lease comes to an end on Wednesday, May 14.
