Paying for all those lies?

Nottingham Post

UNTIL recently, when writing about members of the public who appeared on TV, I had a golden rule: don’t be too mean.

Paying for all those lies?

After all, these weren’t celebs, forever turning up on our screens and earning crazy money for doing so.

These were just normal people like you and me, enjoying a brief taste of the spotlight (and, yes, I do know a spotlight can’t be “tasted’, but it’s Friday and my vocabulary tank is running dry).

Looking back, however, on this fourth series of The Traitors, which ends tonight, I’m wondering if this rule of mine - “play nice when it's real people” - needs a rethink.
