Paterson rues lack of options as Notts are held at home

THERE is a certain quality that Notts County have lacked at times that has proven costly so far, in the eyes of head coach Martin Paterson.

The Magpies could not physically resist Bromley in certain areas of the pitch on Saturday, which ultimately resulted in a frustrating home draw after the visitors scored a late equaliser.

It was a fairly even contest looking at the stats but Paterson felt his team had enough in them to back up their midweek victory at Meadow Lane against Shrewsbury Town with another at the weekend.

“We gave up another goal indirectly from a set play, not through not winning the first contact on this occasion, but not staying with our runners, which should be simple as we've worked on it extensively,’ said Paterson.
