Our day of waiting that says, 'hold on to the silence... God is coming'

Do you ever feel completely ‘flat’ or ‘can't be bothered’? Maybe nothing seems to matter because someone close to you has died and everything seems too much of an effort? Maybe you've been signed off work and your usual ‘get up and go’ has ‘got up and gone’! Maybe you're waiting for the results of medical tests, and you feel in limbo, like life itself is on hold. Well, there's good news for you today.

Today is Holy Saturday, the day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. In the Church's calendar it is the day we recall that Jesus’ body had been laid in the tomb after his crucifixion and death.

In the same way that grieving people long to hear those they love but can't, the disciples longed to hear Jesus again.
