Nursery 'betrayed' by school's order to move

A NURSERY has been ordered to relocate, leaving staff fearing a "catastrophic" effect on children.

Little Nippers Pre-School provides childcare for children aged two to four in Rainworth.

It has used the main building of Python Hill Academy since 2006, but has now been told to move to another building on the school grounds by August 1.

But the pre-school’s management say the new space, the Tree House, is inadequate and would most likely mean reducing the number of staff and children.

The Forge Trust, which runs the academy, said the move would give the pre-school greater independence.

Little Nipper’s current base has a large room, kitchenette, child-friendly toilets and two conservatories, and serves 51 children, 13 with special needs.
