No return for pool's frog statue - but he's back on mural

A NEW mural at the Victoria Embankment paddling pool will pay tribute to its mascot.

The frog statue was a landmark for the pool during its prime and a lot of people wanted it to return after it was vandalised beyond repair.
The pool will finally reopen on May 23, four years after being closed due to ongoing issues with water leaks.
It then fell into disrepair and has not been used since.
Work began to restore it on July 29 last year, with the cost of it estimated to be around £750,000.
