Marinakis says relationship with Nuno is 'solid'

NOTTINGHAM Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has described his relationship with manager Nuno Espirito Santo as “solid” and revealed that “corrective actions” will be taken between the two men when they meet this weekend.

Nuno's future at the City Ground has been in doubt since he admitted a week ago that his relations with Marinakis were no longer what they were.

When asked if he thought he might be sacked, he added there was “no smoke without fire”. It subsequently emerged that his real gripe appeared to be with Marinakis's appointment of global head of football Edu and club transfer policy.

But Marinakis appeared to play down talk of a problem with the man who led Forest to a seventh-placed finish in the Premier League last season. By doing so, he ensured the club returned to European football for the first time in 30 years.
