'MIRACLE' HE WASN'T SERIOUSLY INJURED IN 'DISGRACEFUL' VIOLENCE
Kieran Hogan, above, was hit twice by the vehicle
A KNIFE-WIELDING man was told it is an “absolute miracle” he was not seriously injured after being run over twice by a car during a fight on a cul-de-sac.
The brawl broke out in College Close, Newark, on July 17 last year, after Kieran Hogan, 31, threatened a man who was sitting in his car waiting for a friend.
Mckenzie Warriner, 18, had arrived on the street in a Nissan Juke to pick up his companion, but moments later, stepped out of the vehicle.
Nottingham Crown Court heard that, for reasons that are unclear, Warriner got into an argument with Hogan, who was having a cigarette from the upstairs of a property opposite.
The “really unpleasant incident” quickly escalated, and Hogan ran outside with a knife and stabbed the vehicle in the driver's door, before chasing Warriner and his friend in circles around the car.
Warriner's neighbour, Reuben Reynolds, came outside after hearing the fight unfold. The 44-year-old ran back inside after seeing Hogan's knife and got into the van parked behind his house.
