Kevin's 'wow' moment as he spots pure white 'robin'

A BIRD lover has spoken of his astonishment after spotting what he believes to be a "one in 30,000" pure white robin.

Kevin Rankin saw the rare bird on top of his neighbour's bin in Moorbridge Lane, Stapleford.
The winged wanderer hopped around on the dustbin last Monday morning before disappearing into a nearby field.
"I came out of my car and it was on the next-door neighbour's bin," Mr Rankin, 55, recalled.
"I thought 'wow'. I took a picture and phoned my wife because I wanted her to see it.
"I knew it was a white robin as robins are dominant where I live and it was the same shape. It was just a white version."
