REMARKABLE WEIGHT LOSS MEANS NURSE IS NOW LOVING LIFE IN FULL 'FUN MUM' MODE

- By POST REPORTER

Holiday 'embarrassment' inspired Kim to slide into action and lose 10 stone

A NURSE who found her weight was stopping her being the fun mum she wanted to be has shed almost 10 stone to transform her life.

At nearly 21 stone, Kim Quigley avoided some activities as she was “too embarrassed” to join in.

But after joining Slimming World she is now 9st 10lb lighter and the active parent she dreamed of being.

And the amazing weight loss achievement came without having to give up her love of food or social life. Kim, from Ilkeston, works at the Queen's Medical Centre. She says: "Being on my feet all the time, I'd be exhausted after a shift and I was constantly out of breath.

"My weight affected family life too. I'll never forget one holiday when I was too embarrassed to go on a waterslide with my boys, Jax, who's now seven, and Grayson, who's five.

"I could see by their little faces, they were so disappointed. It was heartbreaking."

But it was during a night out her weight problems were set to worsen.

Kim said: "When I was out with my friends one night, I fell and broke my leg. Being unable to move, I gained more weight than ever.

"That's when my mum, Sharon, suggested we join Slimming World together.
