Historic inn closes after new operators abruptly pull out

A VILLAGE'S oldest inn has closed after its operators pulled out.

It was supposed to be a new chapter for the Salutation in Keyworth, which is believed to date back to the 1600s. It was taken over in May by family-run New Country Inns, which also operates the Greendale Oak in Cuckney and The Millhouse in Worksop.
